Boise State University College of Education’s Conceptual Framework
The Professional Educator
"Boise State University strives to develop knowledgeable educators who integrate complex roles and dispositions in the service of diverse communities of learners. Believing that all children, adolescents, and adults can learn, educators dedicate themselves to supporting that learning. Using effective approaches that promote high levels of student achievement, educators create environments that prepare learners to be citizens who contribute to a complex world. Educators serve learners as reflective practitioners, scholars and artists, problem solvers, and partners."

Reflection
Below, I have listed the AECT standards that I have met through completing my course assignments. The bulk of these assignments met indicators within Standard 1, Content Knowledge, Standard 2, Content Pedagogy, and Standard 5, Research. I was familiar with many of the technologies used in each assignment; however, it was a challenge to decide how the technologies would work best with the content and would improve student learning and performance. In keeping with the University's Conceptual Framework and Mission, my focus was to integrate technology in a way that would meet the needs of my students and promote high achievement while meeting curricular objectives and standards.
Integrating technology into the curriculum can be very complex. Through my reading and research performed throughout this course, I have been able to establish and assess my own opinions on the issues surrounding technology integration. This course has also made an impact on my teaching practice. I have developed the skills necessary to integrate technology into the curriculum and I have already applied what I have learned to my current classroom. The skills that I have acquired have helped me to facilitate the development of my students as they work in a more technology-rich environment.
